Why I Needed a Break From Blogging

Dear Blogging Community,

You are so supportive and kind. I must write to you to let you know how very tired I am of trying to write. I am marvelous at starting the writing process. I have some beautiful beginnings of many novels, short stories, and screenplays. My difficulty is usually in finding how to get to the ending I have envisioned. I feel that I have come to the point in my blog writing where I have lost the view of my end. I have lost the reason why I write.

I took some time to read some books that I found inspiring. I just finished Simply Tuesday: Small-Moment Living in a Fast-Moving World (affiliate link) and am currently reading Artemis Fowl (affiliate link), A Chance to Die: The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael (affiliate link), and Crazy Rich Asians (affiliate link). I am being filled up with both creative and spiritual inspiration, but I still lack the ability to pour out as I would like.

I left off writing for my blog and even stopped my creative writing projects. The only writings I have done recently were prayers. I am unsure my friends when I will be able to write regularly again, but I will continue to read your writings as much as I can.

My health is not the best, and I am teaching an entirely new class this semester. Both of these are taking quite a toll on my overall energy. I would appreciate prayers as I take time to rest and refresh. I may write a blog post every now and then, but I will not be trying to promote them or write e-mails.

During this time, I am very happy to welcome guest posts. Please feel free to find directions as to how to submit a guest post under the tab entitled WHAT’S YOUR STORY?

You are amazing and don’t you forget it! I am blessed to have each and every one of you in my life!
