30 Day Fibro-Friendly Health Challenge – Day 3

Part of taking care of yourself is knowing when to rest. This day 3 of my 30 Day Fibromyalgia-Friendly Health Challenge had to be dedicated to rest in the form of not doing my cardio workout. After having an encouraging conversation with a woman who also has fibromyalgia, I realized that allowing myself grace in the form of rest is essential to a healthy mind and body. Tears flowed when talking about what a struggle it is to form habits when you have fibromyalgia, the inevitably of a fibro flare will happen which will derail all habits.

What I Did

Exercise: Child’s Pose, Pigeon Pose, Cat and Camel Pose – No Cardio

Colostrum: One Tablespoon

Writing: In my blog and my journal

Meditation:

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. – Psalm 73:26

Eating: I ate from 9 AM – 5 PM.

 

How I Felt

Exercise: Energized, open, less tight/Sad that I had to rest from cardio but know that it is the best thing for my body

Colostrum: Surprisingly, it calmed my stomach.

Writing: Relaxed and happy to solidify what I learned today through writing about it

MeditationPeaceful from the healing power of scripture and koinonia with my people at church

Eating: My stomach is calmer than yesterday. I feel satisfied with less food.

Lord, I trust that you give me enough spoons for what I need to do today. If I don’t have the spoons, You decided that I didn’t need to do it. May I accept that and rest.
